LAND

​Venturing out of the city and into the northern California landscape, I create meditative visions of nature using simplified forms and expressive mark-making from the brush and palette knife. Voluminous clouds and golden fields are sculpted with broad palette knife strokes, leading our eye into the hazy forms in the distance that convey a sense of deep space. My work invites the viewer to experience the emotional resonance of an experience in nature, connecting them with the feeling of expansiveness created by the vast landscape.
